Powermac G5 SSD upgrade (2004) model

Hello.

I am going to upgrade to an SSD in my powermac G5. I need to know how to transfer the OS to it. I don't care about any of my other files. The only install disk I have is a snow leopard disk for Mac mini. I want the best OS I can get. Snow leopard I have heard is the max, and that's just fine! I am also going to upgrade RAM and maybe even the CPU?!

Also, does anybody know of any PCI expansion cards (I think that's what it's called) cards that I could use for music and video production on this machine. It will also be used as a render machine, and a storage machine. Does anybody know of good cards for this?

Thanks!

I

Blah

Hang in and buy an Intel Mac like the Mini, with its own SATA 3+ interface from Samsung and an i5 processor along with fast cheap DDR3 it should blow t he socks off.

I just bought some new Samsung 840 EVO 250GB $144 and they kick and show huge improvement over the pre-EVO 840's from last year, on SATA 3 PCIe bus interface or better.

t he new Mac Pro Late 2013 gets 1.2Gb/sec out of its PCIe-SSD device which is more than double what I can get.

The PowerMac is not cpu upgradeable, came out in 2003 and ended with the dual core and quad core in Late 2005.

Even the first Mac Pro 2006 can't really keep up with a newer Mini or rMBP even with its older 4-core design.

PCI-X is also not being supported much if any even if you wanted say an SATA controller.

Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt2 bus interface for storage is what you want to look and save for when you do get a current Mac model.
