I cant activate my ipad with my apple ID,

I am owning an iPad 2 which i bought 1.5 year before . Recently I did a reset of it from iTunes and finally reached at a stage where it started asking for my Apple ID assosciated with the device(eventhough I turned off FIND MY iPHONE feature before resetting). But its not accepting my ID and replying as "THIS ID CANT BE USED TO ACTIVATE YOUR iPAD". Friends help me on this...Even I cant do a technical chat with apple authorities as its showing my coverage has been expired !! So is it that I should dump my iPad?? Help me plzz

It sounds like you are being asked to supply the Apple ID and password of the original owner. If so, you need that or the iPad will be useless.

Hi Sberman,

I am the owner of my iPad as I purchased it as brand new. I do have the access to my apple ID password still.... But Activation process doesnt accept my ID, Says like THIS ID CANT BE USED TO UNLOCK THIS IPAD.
