"iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close"

Updated to software 11.1.4 successfully. When I plug my iPod in to sync my music iTunes successfully identifies my iPod and then goes through the initial Stpe 1 of 2 "Determing which tracks to sync" and then onto Step 2 of 2 "Syncing contacts". However at this stage I then keep getting an error message that states "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close." and when I disconnect my iPod any music recently added to my library hasn't been added to my iPod.


Have tried removing and reloading the software and still have the same problem. Can anyone help?
