No movie files on my mac, but storage specs says I have 157GIG movies.

According to my storage specs I have 157GIG of movie files on my mac, however I literally have 2 movie files on my mac. I have checked itunes, trash, iMovie and every other place I can think of. I have tried google to find a solution but nothing works. I have copied a large amount of series on my mac at some stage but have copied it to an external drive and deleted it from my mac (and emptied my trash). Don't know if that has anything to do with it? Any ideas hoe i can sort this out?

Hi Suzziie,

I would suggesting using the Finder application to sort all of your files by size. To do this:

Select "All My Files" in the sidebar in Finder.

Click on the gear icon in the toolbar

User uploaded file

Click on Show View Options and make sure Kind and Size are selected.

Then from the gear icon choose "Arrange by Size."

You'll be able to see the largest files on your computer. You can copy the files you want to keep to an external drive before deleting them from your computer. Empty the trash to free up space.

I hope this information helps ....
