See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates if you haven't already done so. The error sounds similar in nature to that discussed in the first box though probably relating to a different .dll, so if you haven't yet uninstalled everything iTunes related and deleted the named folders before reinstalling start by doing that.

Hi Turingtest2!

You seem to be the go-to guy with these types of errors. I'm quite impressed by your thoroughness! My error began showing up a few weeks ago when I updated iTunes to 11.1.5.5. The error doesn't seem to get in the way of iTunes working, or my syncing Windows XP / iPhone, but this error message pops up every 10 minutes or so with a loud "don't do that!" noise, which is mildly irritating and I'd love for it to go away.

Error: com.apple.DotMacSync.client.exe Entry Point Not Found. X The procedure entry point objc_exception_try_enter could not be located in the dynamic link library obj.dll

This seems to be a bit different from other users, but perhaps the same response - to uninstall your list of programs and reinstall iTunes is the best strategy?

Thanks Turingtest2 - like your photo by the way.

Hi tt2,

Ugh - well that may be because I typed it incorrectly. So sorry! It's objc.dll, and it is here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support

I have WindowsXP/32bit System. Based on the advice of another member, I copied objc.dll and put it also here: C:\WINDOWS\system32 This did nothing.

So, before I spend my day in teardown/rebuild mode, would you recommend doing anything else?

Thanks for the quick response tt2! I really appreciate your input. And if needed, to confirm the uninstall/reinstall process, you are referring to your tips link, second box, correct?

The correct version of objc.dll for iTunes 11.1.5 is version 1,528,0.71,29 dated Jan 20th 2014, there should only be the one copy in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support so remove the copy you placed in C:\Windows\System32 and make sure there aren't any others that might be called on in error, for example in the main iTunes folder. If you have the wrong version of the .dll you can try repairing Apple Application Support from Add or Remove Porgrams control panel. Check by clicking where it says "Click here for Support Information" that you have version 3.0.1. If not, or if repairing doesn't work then work through the second box in the user tip to do a clean reinstall.
