I bought an ipad for my boyfriend and I, he set it up with his apple id. We have since broken up and he remote wiped the ipad and put it in lost mode. Is there anyway I can get it unlocked? I have the original bill of sale (in my name) and apple care is in my name.

That won't remove the activation lock. I think the OP is going to have to call Apple and see if they can work with her on this issue.
None of the above worked... Apple won't unlock it either... its basically a brick to me. Even tho everything is in my name... pretty disappointing service from Apple.
Take all your paperwork and iPad to an Apple store. Proof of purchase may persuade an employee to help if they can.
