Early 2008 iMac Keyboard Not Working

My family has an Early 2008 model iMac with an A1243 USB keyboard, not original to our iMac. My sister tried to clean said keyboard with a damp paper towel yesterday, the keyboard functioned fine up until this morning. Now the keyboard cannot type at all, I've tried plugging it into different USB ports on the iMac, and I've tried plugging it into my Macbook Pro but nothing will work. The caps lock key will light up briefly when I plug the keyboard into a USB port. I just sprayed the keyboard with compressed air in hopes to dry any liquid from the keyboard. Should I just wait for it to dry out or do something else. Any help is much appreciated.
