WiFi: No Hardware Installed

Hello,

My MBP MC721LL:

Early 2011

Intel i7 2.0 ghz

Mavericks 10.9

4gb ram

500gb hdd

Problem: WiFi does not work.

-Icon at the top right corner, it states wifi has no hardware installed.

-Wifi interface in network preferences is missing( I can not add wifi, but bluetooth and ethernet, etc are there)

-Wifi did work pre-Maverick installation and worked briefly after installation.

-It would disconnect usually when I turn off/sleep, and downloading updates or third party programs.

-I pressed "-" on wifi in network interface due to some other sites tellling me it refreshes the wifi drive or something

Methods I have used but did not work

1) Reset PRAM

2) Reset SMC

3) Network Boot (Pressing N on startup)

4) Edit Location and Set Order

5) Reinstalled OS Mavericks

Please Help! This is the only issue I am having and it's frustrating.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

I just had this problem arise this about an hour ago and searched this forum on my cell browser. I can't find who posted this solution that worked for me but this is what I did.

I removed the cover and disconnected the three wires and reconnected them immediately, booted up and it's all good; for now 🙂

It was easy to do and I hope it continues to!

bonne chance mes amis
