iPhone 5 speakers sound muffled

I left my iPhone 5 charging over night and when my alarm rang it just sounded all muffled and crackily. I stopped running all my apps,reseted,and rebooted. I won't restore unless it is my only option (The iPhone is jailbroken). Should I just clean my loud speaker, replace it? Please anything would help.
