How do I save a Final Cut project in anticipation of the inevitable crash that happens since I downloaded Mavericks?

?

Final Cut Pro X, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1), Maverick crash - every fucking day

Thank you, Norm. But what I need to know is how to bypass the auto saving function and manually save a project. What happens is this:

-I begin a new project in Final Cut X

-After a certain amount of time the entire computer crashes

-a restart is performed

-I get back to Final Cut and the project file shows a yellow triangle symbol with an exclamation point

-the project is empty and there is no record of it anywhere

-the project has NOT been automatically saved

Until I can get the OS to perform properly I need to manually save project files.

But, in their infinite wisdom, the software engineers have removed the all-important “save” and “save as” options… They have, once again, “fixed” something that was not broken to a point where it is now broken.
