Deleting items in The Cloud

As per my previous question about the Yellow Submarine iBook crashing on my new iPhone 5S. I was advised to delete the book and redowmload it in case my previous version was corrupted.

It appears that (as my original iTunes download is stored in the Cloud) I am not able to permantly delete it, but just hide it. If I then 'unhide' it and re-enable it on my iPhone, would this be the same as re-downloading it from the iTunes store?

Either way I am confused, as the book opens okay on my previous iPhone 4S, but persistently crashes (upon opening up) on my iPhone 5S (32gb running iOS 7).

Can anyone please help me?

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.4

Hello acprinting

When you delete books from the iBooks app, it does remove the book and leaves you the option to see your purchase to download the book again. Try delete the iBooks app as well and then download it again to troubleshoot your issue further.

Dear Norm 123,

Thanks for your helpful suggestion and I'm pleased to say that, after deleting iBooks and re-installing it, my Yellow Submarine book doesn't immediately crash upon opening as it used to.

However, I'm still finding that the interactive elements (in the book) still don't work correctly. ie: when I select some of the videos in the book, they don't play, unless I slightly fast forward the individual videos!

It's all very weird (but maybe that's what The Beatles had in mind when they originally recorded it!)

Anymore ideas would be gratefully received.
