Cannot open a new project without motion opening all the previous projects, which crashes motion and won't let me close any of the files. Anyone know how to change the preferences so motion won't open the previous files used?

If Motion is opening past projects unexpectedly, I recommend resetting the Motion preferences as described in step 9 of this troubleshooting guide:
