Q: on itunes, how do i delete duplicates such as: recently added,played,purchased categories?!

It sounds like you have some duplicated playlists you want to delete. Take a look at this info from the article named:

Delete an item from your library

1. Click the item to select it, and press the Delete key.
2. Click Delete Item.
