If you are in design stage, get your house wired with ethernet to every room where you need network access.
Modern houses will use large numbers of ethernet outlets and even run dual cables to major areas.. cable is cheap.. it is the installation at later stage that is expensive or impossible. If it is properly planned along with electrical wiring then you will have excellent basis for setting up networking.
Wireless can be then run as multiple WAP on each floor.. wherever access for wireless products is required.
