HELP! iPhone 5s won't charge properly.

This is so annoying. I haven't even had my phone for half a year! Just two months.

Basically, my phone won't charge properly. In zero battery, when I plug it in it's wall charger, it won't charge at all. Well, it will charge but it won't actually turn on. It would just be on that black screen with a red battery but it IS actually charging. When I plug it in on my laptop, it takes a about an hour to start up. A while ago, I had it on one percent so I immediately plugged it in the wall charger so that it won't shut down but then it won't move from 1%. It has the lightning symbol but it won't bulge. At all. But in the past, when it's on 50% it'd still charge. What should I do?

It's so frustrating. I expected better from Apple. Actually, you know, I expected the best from Apple since...you know...it's APPLE.

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.1

If the battery is completely empty then all you will see for a period of time 5-10 mins is the 'battery empty' screen. The phone needs to build up enough charge in order to turn on. Laptop USB's with the exception of Apple Macbook Pro's aren't generally powerful enough to charge up your device in many cases.

Where possible use the cable & charger that came with your phone this is the best way to charge it. If your phone is still on 1% after 30 mins or so when plugged in with the cable & charger then I'd be worried. However I presume you've had the phone from new? Provided you have you should be covered under warranty for any defect.

Steve
