I use an iPhone 3 and when I try to download apps, it brings up an old email address which we no longer use...I cannot remember the password and I can't ask for an email to change the password because the email is defunkt. What can I do about this? Can I change the iD that automatically comes up on the phone in the app store? Thanks!

Thank you for the question. Use these steps to change the signed in Apple ID:
Changing your Apple ID account
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores, then tap the Apple ID signed in.
Sign out of the current Apple ID account and then sign in with another account or create a new Apple ID.
