Replacing battery

hi I am wondering if anyone knows how to get the battery replaced on my classic iPod. and also how much would it cost should I go to a secondary store or to Apple directly?

If your iPod requires service due to the battery’s diminished ability to hold an electrical charge and it is not covered by Apple's one year limited warranty, an AppleCare agreement, or statutory consumer rights, Apple will replace your iPod for a service fee. Please see these simple pointers to maximize iPod battery lifespan and battery life.


Note: Your iPod is not eligible for the Out-of-Warranty Battery Replacement Service if a hardware failure is affecting a component of the iPod other than the battery, or if there is damage on the iPod resulting from accident, liquid damage, disassembly, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications. Please review Apple's Repair Terms and Conditions.
