Cannot open new Pages documents on MacBook Pro

Hi, I'm using Maveriks 10.9.1 on my MBookPro. Why can't I open my new Pages iCloud documents on my MacBook pro? The Pages icon hasn't changed and it shows it still using Pages '09 and that I need a newer version, but I have the newer version already installed from de mac App store and all the documents are formatted in yellow with the newer version.... Why hasn't it upgraded automatically as usual? Do I need to do something? Please help.

Hello again. I think I just figured it out: The newer version of Pages does not overwrite Pages'09, so both applications are installed in your Applications folder. You will find version 5.1 (1769) there with the new icon and you will find Pages '09 inside the iwork'09 folder. Open both, your documents are there. Now remove pages '09 from the dock and add the version with the yellow icon. Et voilá. 🙂
