cd drive not working
My cd drive isnt working or responding. It spits out every cd I try. Please help
iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)
Does it happen with more than one CD? If so the lenses is probably dirty. Happened to mine. You can trying blowing some compressed air to clear it but it is a long shot. I would look at an external CD/DVD drive from some place like OfficeMax for probably $40. Apple will charge you $300+ to replace the drive in the iMac.
