Hello, Your battery may be drained allow it charge for 30 minutes and then see if you can turn it on. Are you sure it charged? Some iPod 5 were shipped with defective charging cables, you may have one. Try another cable or charger. If you can confirm the cable and/or charger is not the problem and that you are charged, have you tried a soft reset? Press and hold the power and home buttons together until the Apple logo appears (about 15 seconds) then release both buttons. You could try connecting to your iTunes and try a Restore to backup or Restore to New. If still nothing I would contact Apple Genius Bar to have your iPod evaluated, use your warranty. Good luck.

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
