iMessage profile picture?

Hello, Apple Community.

I am using an iPad 2 with iOS 7.

I was texting, and suddenly I noticed my friend's contact picture was one that I did not select or own (it was one of hers that I assume she chose). Please help me learn how to fix this and how to set it so I can do this (just as an experiment).
