My Autofill will not work anymore the popup turns dark grey and will not fill in the blanks, any insight on this?

Hi, my autofill has stopped working, it pops up and when I click on it, it turns dark grey and locks on the screen. Any ideas?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
