My Notepad notes have disappeared! Please help

I've done nothing new or different; no new system updates or anything abnormal.

And all of a sudden, this morning, I open my notepad app and ALL MY NOTES HAVE BEEN DELETED.

This has made me convinced I never want to buy another Apple product again. How can you trust something that deletes your data just like that?

For the time being, while I still have this iPad (will switch to another manufacturer when I can afford it) .... how do I get my notes back? I had some really important work notes there.

If anyone can help at all, I would really appreciate it.

I wish it were just the notes that have disappeared ... the entire app has disappeared from my iPad, all the correct boxes are ticked for it to be showing and working but nothing! Why do Apple have to have so many **** updates, every time there is an update there is an issue ...

Use your computer and login to www.icloud.com and see if notes are there.

I don't use the cloud update.

Alas, I really needed to get hold of the notes so I kept searching this community site and found the answer. For anyone else looking:

Apple, in its infinite wisdom, have decided that the Notepad app will auto-sync your notes with whatever you have set up as your primary email account.

Then the notes just get deleted from your device from time to time without the user's consent!

Not only that - the primary email I had set up was the account I use for work (which is managed by work and can be read by work) - and a note I made in a JOB INTERVIEW for another job was just auto-sent off to this account without my knowledge! Imagine if it had got into the wrong hands.

So, anyway. Absolutely horrible system.

Now have my notes copied & pasted to actual .txt files on my Windows 7 Sony VAIO laptop. The Notepad app on the iPad has pretty much just become a useless piece of garbage to me.
