Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

what do you do when your mouse isn't discovered?

How do you make your mouse discoverable? I have changed batteries, changed the mouse, and restarted the computer. Nothing I am trying seems to get the mouse to connect again via bluetooth. This is a recent problem since starting IOS 10.9.1, but not consistently so.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Hey GreenLightLearningTools,

Thanks for the question. To put the Magic Mouse into discovery mode:

If your mouse isn’t paired with a Mac, the light blinks, indicating your mouse is in discovery mode and ready to pair (pairing means your mouse and Mac are wirelessly connected to each other and ready to communicate).

If you need to pair the mouse with a new Mac:

To pair your mouse with a new Mac:

1. Slide the On/off switch on the bottom of your

mouse to turn it on (see page 3).

2. Turn on your Mac and follow the onscreen instructions in Setup Assistant.

3. Once your mouse is paired with your Mac, use Software Update again to make sure you have the latest software installed (see page 2).
