Sudden issues with Aperture 2.

Opens application fine, but while loading "thumbnails", it suddenly quits.
Any ideas?

iMac (20-inch Early 2009), OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Not one you're likely to want to hear, upgrade to Aperture 3.

Aperture 2 has been a problem since Lion and with each new OS release it has gotten worst. It is old and not really suitable for use on the new OS's.

In any case make sure you have good working backups of your libraries.

You may want to have a look at those, when you upgrade:
