Hello, for whatever reason lately (last 2 weeks) I haven't been able to purchase songs or apps from the iTunes store. Why would this happen?

What do you mean by 'haven't been able to purchase' ? If you are getting an error message when trying to buy something then what does it say ? Without more info it's difficult to say why.
