Activation failing after being activated

Hi all,

I recently changed my Apple ID password and had to reenter it to reactivate my phone, my iPad and that was fine for about a week! Then all of a sudden, today, I can't receive or send iMessages--just text messages (that is, my bubble is green) and I notice in Settings, that Send & Receive is not there and it's waiting for activation!

For the record, Verizon is my phone carrier.


Any suggestions?

I did do the steps suggested in some of the troubleshooting articles, but ultimately, I went to an Apple store. The person who helped me just powered my phone off, thereby resetting and rebooting.

And that did it! Interesting because I felt I'd tried everything at least twice! So rebooting made perfect sense.
