i just instal this OS bu...

I just instal OS10.6.8, some sofrware dosn't work because i can use them in this OS...safari , system preferences any many more. So i did software update, it's download updates and some programs start to work but if i click on them in applications they don't work, but if i click on question mark i get solusions as ,,go to the apple store website. Like this I am able to open safari. Photo booth dosn't work ...only if i type it to the finder .....question is, how i get the right software in to the applications and how i am delete the old one?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Have you run this update?

http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399

Try running software update, and installing one at a time, keep running till there are no more updates.

Is Photo Booth in your main Applications folder in Finder ?.

Use the Finder Go menu - Applications ( Command Shift A )

Does it open from there, if you double-click the application icon ?.

If so, remove any Dock icon or shortcut for the old Leopard version, and replace them with that for the new one.

thanks, now it's works, but before didn't , i did some updates , but i try to download photos from my camera and that's dosnt work even after updates:-/ i try to instal this http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399

i use EOS utility but i try to download it with adobe bridge and it can find my comera...and eos utility looks like it's start to do somthing but not really:-/ before i had any problem with it

I see : unfortunately I've no experience with either of those, so beyond checking with the makers that they're up to date, I don't have any suggestions.

Some cameras show in Finder & the images can be accessed from there : others have a menu setting which makes that possible. If yours does, it might help you in the meantime.

I would check at Canon's website to see that you have a suitable version for Snow Leopard, although it seems that they don't always make the updates readily available.
