My windows 7 gives the following message when iTunes icon is clicked, "The item referred to by this shortcut cannot be accessed. You may not have the appropriate permission." There is no adminstrator password and none is wanted. what to do?

Is the shortcut on the desktop? If so does the one within the start menu work? You can delete any non-working shortcuts and repair iTunes from the Programs and Features control panel.
