I have a Macbook Pro w/ Lion. I recently had the hard drive wiped because of multiple problems since inception. Anyway, I don't have iPhoto now and when I went to the free Apps it won't install because it says I already have it.....what to do?

Help me reinstall Iphoto. Apple states that I already have it but since I had my hard drive wiped I don't have it and can't reinstall it...

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

If you're running Lion then the iPhoto version at the App Store will not work for you as it only runs on Mavericks. What version did you have before this happened?

What system came preinstalled on your MBP? If it was Snow Leopard or earlier then you should have disks that came with your MBP that iPhoto can be installed from. If it was Lion or later then you'll need to contact the App Store personnel via the link in this screenshot,

and see about getting an earlier version of iPhoto, i.e. iPhoto 9.4.3 or earlier.

Or you could upgrade your system to Mavericks for free and then purchase iPhioto 9.5.1 from the App Store.
