My iPod won't unlock because the screen is unresponsive and won't "Slide to Unlock" what do I do?

Around 8 this morning I locked my iPod because I was done with it. The next time I tried to open it, it would not slide to unlock.... I then pressed the lock button because that is what I usually do and it did not work. It hasn't worked all day and that was 12 hours ago. Now I don't want to sound like a total white girl, but I want mty Instagram and Facebook back. Any suggestions???? Apparantly it was like $20 to call tech support and I am not paying that... PLEASE! I need my music!

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
