iPad Lock Screen + ZAGGfolio case

Not long after my wife and I purchased our iPad (4th generation) we purchased one of those ZAGG case/keyboard dealie-o's.

Until recently, I would close the case and the latch would clip and the iPad would lock and it puts the iPad to sleep.
Then, if I opened the case, the lock screen would appear. (The "Slide to unlock" screen.)

Unlike most I actually find this screen quite useful; i.e. I have a toddler who like to play with the iPad and if it is locked

when he opens the case it usually prevents him from accessing the apps and data on the iPad. (Barring his accidental genius and he actually unlock the iPad)

I am not sure what setting I changed, but now when I open the iPad it takes me straight to my home screen with all my apps and folders.

I was wondering if someone knew how to re-enable the lock screen with the smart cases?

I have never used a passcode and don't want to require one.

I have never had a problem with the magnets that other posts have mentioned.

So, any help?

iPad, iOS 7.0.4

I've done a fair amount if troubleshooting with it already.

"Lock/Unlock": switch set to "green" (I'm assuming that means it's enabled I can't stand iOS 7 and their "improvements" to the menus) - The case still works to wake up the iPad when I open it. However, it skips the "slide to unlock" lock screen and goes to home screen (where the apps are).

"Lock/Unlock": switch set to "grey" (off) - When I close the case it does nothing; it doesn't lock or unlock anything. It's like I didn't even close it.

Look for your autolock time.

Settings, general, autolock and see what the time is

Then settings, general passcode lock (which is right below it) and see if it's turned on for immediately or has a different time.

For example, my autolock is for 5 minutes, so after 5 minutes of non-use it turns off. THe passcode lock is set to immediately, so basically after 5 minutes my iPad turns off and the screen is locked.

I don't use the lock/unlock, which is what is triggered by the smart cover or the screen being covered. Your autolock can be set as short as 2 minutes

I just had the same issue - I changed the "Lock/Unlock" setting such that it now locks if I close the cover of my folio. However, that also now set my Zagg keyboard to allow it to turn the ipad on and off from the wireless keyboard. I dont have my ipad set with a "password", which I think will be the only way to get it to open with the lock screen. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, or if there is another solution.
