I actually figured a way around this, as silly as it sounds you simply need to trick the device into thinking it's connected to Wifi - you obviously need another device to do this - but I find I can tether my data as a personal hotspot, (which is actually the same shared data I have for both of my devices) and it thinks it's connected to Wifi, thus allowing me to get on with my downloading.

If you have more than one device or, maybe a friend you could mooch off of;

Connect via 'Personal Hotspot'.

Hope this helps?

Cheers!

I don't know about the "reboot your phone" method(I tried it but was not able to download). I do this in such situation:

1) I take my Macbook and connects it to the phone's hotspot.

2) Connect my iPhone to the same Mac using USB.

2) Open itunes.

3) Open the store for iPhone there.

4) Download the app in my Mac.

5) Then I open the iPhone section.

6) And there I select the 'Apps' option.

7) Here you can see the downloaded app with 'install' button next to it.

8) After clicking that button I sync my phone to the itunes.

PS: I don't know if it works on PC

)

PPS: Use your own PC/Mac or the one from which you synced the iPhone last time. Don't sync it to any other PC or Mac or else you will loose your data on iPhone. (I believe you know this already
