Try this:
1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
Hi.. Tried the first 'solution' but it hasnt worked. Am looking at iPad now and cant get the 'forget this network' message to appear my top box just says Wi-Fi
have just been playing with iPad again and can get to the page you show but mine has 'Join Network in top box and no details in the IP address etc belowHTTP Proxy is Off
Suggest you "Forget this Network" and try connecting again.
Make sure you enter the correct password for router.
Are you using MAC filtering in your router?
What make, model and version router do you have?
Is router firmware up to date?
What security type do you have configured in the router? WEP, WPA, WPA2?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

how do i 'forget this network'? Every time i go onto the box containing the 'Join Network' it goes straight to Password before i can do anything
my iMac which is connected using ethernet cable is functioning normally. the iPod and iPhone were working until this morning, they use wi-fi. Ive just tried connecting iPhone to modem using USB on modem but same result. i have the original sticker with the password on it by the computer.
my router was provided almost exactly one year ago. it is BTHub3-6CHJ. Other than connecting it and on occasion resetting it I havent touched it at all, dont know how to do the things you talk about.

You can't "Forget This Network" unless you are connected to it.

That won't work in any case.

Test your iPhone and iPad on some other WiFi networks. If they work there then there is definitely a problem with the WiFi part of your BT Hub3. The fact that two devices have suddenly stopped working strongly points to this. Contact BT for help and/or a replacement.
problem solved!
My wife has just come home and pointed out that the Password I was using was the Admin Password (this was the only one I could find) but what i should have been using was a password which she has stored on her iPhone.
Obviously wives do have a purpose!!!
Many thanks for the hard work you and the other members of the Support Communities put in trying to sort me out - Ive now put the password into iPhone in my notes.
This still leaves the unanswered question - Why did the two machines drop out in the first place?
