Just what did you try?
What encryption are you using?
Have you tried changing the encryption?
Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- Restore from backup. See:
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
I have tried all of those. Sees networks no problem. Says "cannot join network" WPA2 G and N networks on several routers all of which connect other devices without any issues. Was working for weeks then along came 7.04. Took to a genius LOL who said he was unaware of any issue like this (WHATEVER), connected to the unencrypted apple store wifi and said, well wifi is working. I explained again the issue is with encrypted networks, but he insisted if it connects to the apple store wifi it must be my router. Real genius there.
