Hi. When I am using Safari, I cant watch videos. I have tried updating the newest flash player, but it didn't help. When I try Chrome, it works, but I like Safari much more.
Where the video is supposed to be, the screen is black with a little text box, where its in english says: plugin error (I am using google translate from norwegian to english)

I would re-install safari, whcih means re-installing OSX (over the top of your copy som 99% of stuff is not impacted).
There must be some library or plug-in missing or corrupted.
Does youtube always use flash? I dont think so, or it would nto work on ipads and iphones. It may be a different plug-in - html5 maybe?

I am not sure that youtube always uses flash, it was the only thing I knew that could fix tha problem.
If I re-install Safari, what will I lose?
You can't ( AFAIK) re-install Safari. You must re-install all of Mavericks. The one time i did it i lost nearly nothing, a very, very few easily fixed settings. But you might want to double check - we're not Apple support, we're just folks like you whomay have BTDT/

System Preferences > Other > Flash Player > Playback
Click the "Peer-assisted Networking Setting by Site" button at the bottom.
Is YouTube.com listed and not allowed?

Block/Ask me/Allow
Select Allow.

I didn't look for that long, but I could not fin any sites that were red/blocked.
If I re-install Mavericks, do I lose stuff like videos, pictures, music, apps or anything like that?
1. System Preferences > Flash Player > Advanced > Delete All
Press the "Delete All" button
Install Adobe Flash Player.

Follow the prompts.
Quit Safari.
Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Allow Plug-ins
Safari > Preferences > Security
Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
Enable it.
Press " Manage Website Settings" button for more options.
If you re-install, in theory you shouldn't lose anything. Do a backup before attempting a re-install in case of an oops.
