Guys Im new to mac, we're migrating at my company from PC to FCPX.... 80% of times compressor is not functioning, the mac is the new 6 core mac pro, its brand new.... whats wrong, is it compatibility issue?

Please give specifics about what not functioning means. What is your workflow? What kind of files are you trying to process?

for example, I tried to convert an mpg (MPEG 2) to apple prores HQ.... not responding, tried to apple prores 4444.... not reponding, to apple prores... responding. I tried to set in and out at the review screen, instantly closed by itself...
I sent from FCPX items.... while assigning location and setting..... not responding, its really frustrating.
By not responding, you mean the batches are sitting in waiting/processing, or literally the app is hanging?
What have you done to address the problem?
Have you run Digital Rebellion's Compressor Repair? If not, download it (free) and run it.
Do you have the latest update (4.1.1) ? If not, get it.

Compressor has a hard time transcoding MPEG-2 video files. Even if you get it to work the audio file will not transcode with the video file (the transcoded file won't have audio).
You best bet is to use the free app MPEG-Streamclip to transcode the MPEG-2 file to Prores.
What kind of MPEG are you submitting – for example, a program stream (.mpeg), transport stream (.m2t), DVD (m2v)…something else?
