System preferences Issue

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone would be able to assist me. I'm having issue with my System Preferences. When I tried ot go in and change my deskstop view it stayed in uploading mode and wont let me do anything.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

The first thing I would suggest is to restart your computer and see if the issue persists. If so, then you may need to try the following troubleshooting steps:

Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
