Q: How do I get an Itune I.D. ?

I have been trying to find the sign up page for Itunes. and all I get is either a store asking me to buy something and then when I try to buy something

it says I don't have an itune I.D My apple I.D. will not work with itunes

iPhone 5s, iOS 7

An iTunes id and Apple id are different way of referring to the same thing. What happens when you try to sign into that account via Settings > iTunes & App Store on your phone ?
