GarageBand site says additional GarageBand instruments and sounds are available with in-app purchase in the ipad ios7 app but no option seen in the app to get them. Please help.

In GarageBand on your iPad you should see the download for additional content when you open a project that has been created with the earlier GarageBand version and uses the additional instruments: You will then be prompted to buy the additional instruments.
If you did not own the previous version, you should be seeing the option to download the contents when you try to add missing instrument when creating a song.
If you previously owned GarageBand, you do not need to buy the additional content, To restore your purchase, you may need to tap "Already Purchased" when you see the in-app purchase in GarageBand.

Open GarageBand and tap on instruments. Swipe through the instruments until you find one that must be purchased. You'll see a little grey icon appear on the instrument. Tap on this and it will ask for your details.
