I can't get my MacBook Pro to turn on.

Today I was using my MacBook and it had 95% battery. I folded over the screen and then two hours later I went back to it. The laptop is completely unresponsive and won't light up at all when I try to turn it on. The charger is plugged in but seems to be glowing much fainter and also flashing yellow and then green. Over the last few weeks, the screen has repeatedly been turning black/going to sleep in the middle of my work and I'm wondering if it's related? Is there anyway I can solve this? I desperately need my laptop for college next week!
