Why does youtube repeat itself?

Hi guys,

I have a MacBook Air, 2011 and recently upgraded to mavericks.

Using Safari is all fine and good, as expected, but lately using youtube I have watched a video (this happens with any video, not one in particular) then, when I try to watch another, only the initial video that i watched first will play. Wether I search in the using search bar or the related link on the side.

I have to physically close the window and restart youtube to be able to watch the video I want; as if I have to reset the page. This is really confus
