I am trying to update my IPhone5 and ITunes is telling me there are purchased items on the IPhone that have not been transferred to the ITunes library. How do i transfer these items to the ITunes library before proceeding?

The link to instructions leads you down a path that says next to select "Transfer purchases" but there is no option to choose called 'transfer purchases.' Where is "Transfer Purchases" located?

Connect your device to your computer, open iTunes, go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
