Can't partition free space using Disk Utility

So something went wrong when I tried to bootcamp.

Now the situation is following:

1) I can't install Windows using USB stick, it says that the free space is in GPT;

2) I can't partition the free space with Disk Utility, tryied it also with recovery mode, the apply button is clickable and active, but it does nothing, it just stays like so and when I exit from Disk Utility it asks if I want to quit without applying but it doesn't work.

So basically I have wasted 20GB of space and can't do anything with it.

I don't want to format the hole disk, are there any other workarounds without need to reinstall OSX?

I have MacBook Pro 13" Retina (late 2013), 128GB SSD, 8GB ram.

Tuudik,

at the moment, your CoreStorage logical volume isn’t revertible. If it can’t be made revertible, then you’re going to need to reformat your disk and reïnstall OS X to get that space back. To see if it can be made revertible, log in as your administrative user, make sure that everything except Terminal is closed, and try running these commands:

sudo diskutil unmount force disk0s2

sudo diskutil repairVolume disk0s2

diskutil cs list

The first command will ask you for a password; give it your administrative user’s password. The password will not display on the screen as you type it in; this is a security measure.

What is the output from the last command after executing the first two commands?

You have a Boot Camp Partition. You have to use, Run, Boot Camp Assistant again to remove that partition. It will then put back that partitioned space into the Core Storage volume automatically.

If you already delete the Boot Camp partition in Disk Utility then you have FUBARed the Fusion Drive system and the only way to get that space back into the Fusion Drive is to wipe out the Fusion Drive, erasing all data from the system, and then rebuilt it using all the disk space available.

So you have to do a Time Machine backup before you start the process and then once the Fusion drive system is recreated restore that time machine backup..

There are many tutorials on the net explaining how to break up and recreate the Fusion Drive.

If you haven't deleted that BC partition then run boot camp assistant again and select Remove Windows partition.
