Q: camera

I want to use Facetime or Photo Booth but my camera is not working, The message on my screen is "There is not connected camera"

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

If you hold down the option key and select System Information... from the Apple menu, do you see a FaceTime camera on your USB bus?

If you see it, just restart your computer, If you dont, take your macbook to the apple store...

You might try plugging-in an external USB camera - any external USB camera.
I had that same message from PhotoBooth on a 2010 MBP running Lion. Soon as I connected an external cam, the built-in iSight camera came on and has been working fine ever since.

My webcam was not working for awhile for anything, and a thread somewhere told me to delete google chrome, and after I did then it has been working fine ever since. I don't know if you have chrome, but give it a shot if ya do.
