What is the lastest version of OS X that can be installed on Macmini4,1 with 2GB 2,4GHz Intel 2 Core Duo? Would any upgrade allow for the lastest verion?
Software Update service returns nothing.

That Mac Mini can run the current 10.9 Mavericks, but you should upgrade the RAM to at least 8GB. Then depending on what you use the Mini for, you also might a Hard Drive upgrade to a faster HGST or SSD.
My upgraded 2010 Mac Mini 4,1 that has 8GB of RAM and a Hitachi HGST Traverstar 7200 rpm Hard Drive has no problem running Mountain Lion or Mavericks.

While the Apple > Mac mini (Mid 2010) - Technical Specifications only say 8GB, OWC has successfully tested it with there 16GB kit.
You can get more info about Mavericks before upgrading from the App Store, by selecting More or by going to OS X Mavericks Support.
