Iphone5 headphones stuck on, how to switch it iff
iPhone 5, iOS 7
Hello Bariz,
It sounds like you have disconnected your headphones but your phone is still acting as though they are plugged in. I recommend these troubleshooting steps from the article named:
iPhone: No ring or sound from built-in speaker
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1205
If the sound output source indicates "headphones" and no headphones are attached, try attaching headphones momentarily, then disconnect the headphone and press the volume button again. See if the sound output is now going through the built-in speaker. You may want to try repeating this more than once—inserting and removing the headset multiple times could free any debris that may have been lodged in the headphone jack. Do not attempt to insert anything other than the headphone connector into the iPhone headset jack.
If that does not resolve the issue, I would next try these steps:
iPhone: No sound or distorted sound from speaker
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5180
- If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
- Try turning off Bluetooth.
- If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
- Restart the iPhone.
- If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
- If the issue is not resolved after restoring the iPhone software, please contact Apple Support.
You can also try resetting your device in this manner:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
All the best,
Sterling
