I received my iPhone a couple weeks ago and just a few days ago part of the screen is unresponsive! I have shut down and restarted the device many times! I have an iPhone 5s and I don't want to spent much money getting it repaired! Is there a way of fixing it or how much money it is to have apple repair it?

There is a possibility that your touch digitizer is bad. You should take your phone to apple store and have them fix it. Have you tried restoring your iphone? Do a fresh restore, and see if that makes any difference. Cheers 🙂
iPhones seem to be prone to shorting on fluff and lint from pockets. Take a vacuum cleaner and VERY carefully suck any muck out of the lightning and headphone sockets. If that doesn't work then try software and hardware fix's.
