Q: Trouble getting visual voicemail to work with Verizon
Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to get my visual voicemail working again? I've had to change plans with Verizon lately and wonder if that has something to do with it. Any messsages that people leave for me go to Verizon's wireless voicemail system requiring me to call in and enter my password in order to get my messages. For some reason messages are no longer showing up in my visual voicemail on my iPhone 4s which I find much more convenient to use. My voicemail is set up with Verizon, I made a custom greeting, etc. I just don't know how to direct messages to the visual voicemail part of my iPhone.

Hi Grusvag,
Welcome to the Support Communities!
Visual voicemail would be a service that your carrier provides, so you may need to review your account settings with them.

Follow these steps to troubleshoot voicemail issues on your iPhone:
- Restart your iPhone.
- Check for a carrier settings update.
- Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
- Ensure that your voice mailbox is set up properly. You can verify this by dialing your phone number from your iPhone.
- Make sure that you have a good cellular network connection. You can verify this by seeing whether you can make an outgoing call.
- Call your iPhone from another phone and attempt to leave yourself a voicemail.
- Reset your network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
- Contact your carrier and ensure your iPhone is properly configured with the voicemail feature on your plan.
Cheers,
- Judy
