Q: Apple ID... Which What Why??

I just reset and changed my Apple ID, which I thought ended with a "me.com". My AppleTV does not recognize it. Why?

Also, it seems I have two or maybe even three Apple ID's: one ended with a "me.com", another ending with "yahoo.com", and another less common seen ends with a "cloud.com"... Which is it?? What are these ID's, are they different or same?  Why is there these mulitple "ID's"?? Do same password work with all ID's?

Currious and a bit fustrated with the logic. Would appreciate an explanation.

Thanks,

George

An Apple ID can be either a regular address (@yahoo.com) or an iCloud address (@iCloud.com)

If it's a regular address you get a free iCloud address to use with mail, if it's an iCloud address you can associate a regular address with it so if your iCloud account gets locked Apple can still contact you. You can use either your regular or iCloud address to log into your account.

If you set up your Apple ID either when dotmac or mobileMe was running you would have been given a free @mac.com or @me.com address, but you are now also given an @iCloud address, if you set up your Apple ID after these services ended you won't get these addresses. If you have 2 or all 3 of these addresses they are essentially the same address with the @mac.com and @me.com addresses being aliases for the @iCloud address.
